Yes.

Kinja'd!!!

I want one badly, my dad had a ‘72 when I was a kid and I loved that car.

Yep. It’s pretty beat up though. I bought it from a kid in NM and I’m slowly bringing it back to life. The engine is finally running cool so it’s time to get the interior and paint back to where it belongs.

Excellent, and rare in red. As I told For Canada above, my dad had a blue ‘72 when I was a kid and I loved the thing. I cried when it was sold, and am always on the hunt for one of my own. I very nearly pulled the trigger on one last year, same blue as my dad’s and a good runner. I had the cash in my pocket when my misgivings about the car’s rust issues (blooming under the beltline trim and in the front frame rails under the floor) got the best of me and I passed on it.

There’s a guy daily driving one of these at my uni. The sound it makes is so amazing when you are used to hearing 1.6 diesels and Teslas all day.

Mine too. Along with the owners of the Citroën XM and Lancia Kappa Coupe that always parks just nearby.

Yeah this one was originally that nice cream color above and got repainted probably 20 odd years ago. Its ugly but I hope to repaint it with the help of my brother in law. He repainted this one and it came out beautifully.

Mine has 1 tennis ball sized hole in the passenger floor and some rust on the rear wheel wells so it’s going to need quite a bit of work to look this pretty.

Nice ‘02! Regardless of condition, I’m glad the Bav is in good hands. Hopefully you’ll share some updates along the way. I have a ‘68 2002 project myself that I’m trying to get back to.
